Tea & Make - Second Project

Hello! As promised yesterday, today's post shows you the second card we made at our Tea & Make on Wednesday. I love the simplistic style of this card which I have cased from Nadja Haschke. I really like the colours used and of course, the butterflies.

Tea & Make Projects

Yesterday's Tea & Make was a great success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the morning.  It was the first time I had used the hall so it took a little while for me to get used to new surroundings when setting up, but it didn't take long for me to find things and I'm sure the classes will be enjoyed there as the hall has a lovely atmosphere to it.
We made two cards and both were made using the Swirly Bird stamp set. The first card we made was inspired by the lovely Gloria Kremer. I made two colour variations with this one and the ladies were able to make the one they preferred.

I'm not sure which one I liked best as I like both of the base colours used.
Tomorrow I will post the second card we made. Enjoy your day!

Balloon Celebrations - Inked Background

Happy weekend everyone! It's another lovely day here today and I'm looking forward to meeting up with my regular SU group for our monthly workshop later this morning.

Today's make is showing another card in the beautiful bright colours I used yesterday. Again I've used the Balloon Celebration stamp set and used the little circle stamp from the set to make my own background as the base for my card. I really like the effect its made.

Balloon Celebrations

I love the colour combination used on this card. Bermuda bay, watermelon wonder and crushed curry make perfect summer colours. I added a little bit of sparkle to the card by adding glimmer paper for some of the balloons and embellishing it with a few sequins and rhinestones.

Build a Birthday - Double Z Fold Card

There are so many different styles of cards around and it's lovely trying them out and seeing what  you can do with them. At the moment the double z fold card is very popular so I thought I'd have a little play to see what I could come up with.

Build a Birthday - Box & Tag

I enjoyed making this matching gift box and tag set which went nicely with the card I posted Saturday.

The box was made using the Gift Box punch board. It is quick and easy to use and is great for creating boxes just right for that special gift. I stamped the wording on it by inking each word on the stamp separately and then stamping them at different angles.

Build a Birthday

I often find it difficult making masculine cards as I know many of us do, so I decided to have a bit of a play with the Build a Birthday set to see what I could come up with.

The colours used in this design are Whisper White, Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Island Indigo and Crushed Curry. I must admit I do like layers in my designs as I think they give depth to a project.
I'll be back soon with more ideas using this set.

Launch Day

It has always been a dream of mine to run my own craft classes as a career and I'm now in the lucky position to be able to turn my dream into reality. Over the last few weeks I have enjoyed working with the talented Tiffany Kuehl, planning and designing my blog and seeing it evolve from my initial ideas to the final mood board and then onto the designs and branding.

The next stage was finding a suitable venue for my classes and I'm pleased to say the first ones will be held at Drayton Village Hall and Tithe Barn Horstead, Norfolk.  If you are unable to get to any of my venues but would still like to do a class, I can organise mail order for you or if you're within a 30 mile radius of Norwich and would like to get a group together, I can come to you. Please email me for details.
Classes and workshops have now been organised and bookings are now being made. To find out more about what classes I have for you please turn to my Classes/Events page.  All my events will solely be using Stampin' Up! products.

I have always loved crafting and especially paper crafts. My passion is for scrapbooking and card making and I'm looking forward to sharing my creations with you.
